  3. I’ve now done 2500 miles on my ebike and I absolutely love it. I normally go out for one and a half to two hours of riding. You can’t beat being out in the fields and on the cycle trails especially when it’s a nice sunny day. I cycled everywhere when I was kid and now that I,m in my 60s I can still get out there.   4. I’m a fit cyclists & 44 years old. I already had a decent Trek bike & I live around 14 miles from the Peak District. Last year I rode further than normal & went up a big hill climb (Brickworks in Pot Shrigley) & it took some effort, but I loved the experience & the views were spectacular. I then decended the other side & heading home via Bollington. All in all I did around 50 miles & at least 4000ft of climbing, yet a longed for more & to be able to go further into the PD, so I bought the Ribble Endurance SL e & it’s been a blast since, I’ve gone much, much further & taken on more hills & it helps a lot (it still takes quite some effort on a hub motor up 20%+ inclines). On flatter routes I’ve gone 120km+ & it’s great to have a bit of assistance on the way home, when your legs are tired.

  5. I used to do 30-40 mile rides every Sunday on quiet but hilly routes near me. I enjoyed the Hills and the challenge. Following a heart attack and a stent, I started again slowly to help me get fit and it helped to get my confidence back. But with always riding the Hills as slowly as possible to keep my heart rate below 150. Did 60 and 100 mile sportives. 6 1/2 years later. More surgery. Now I’ve been told maximum heart rate during exercise should be between 85 and 108 and no higher. Its a blow, so no Hills. So I’ve bought an electric bike, the idea is the use the assistance to get up the hills and then cycle as normal. To date I’ve not used it as I’m still recovering but also I’m feeling like a cheat, cycling shorts, clip in shoes and tops. Not sure how I feel about wearing them now so in away it’s like another hill to climb.
